I know it is a bit far off yet but is anyone interested in the Central Coast Half in November this year. The exact date has not been set yet. I missed it last year because I got injured (shod) just before it. Really looking to making it this year without my shoes!

Could be a good idea, but as you mention, a bit early to say...I was planning on doing a Half this year, we can check again in June or so

If you guys get any arrangements for group runs, please add them to the Calendar, or have your Chapter President do it. Thanks!

Umm, I just went back through the thread to see where the wires got crossed - I thought we were talking about Saturday the 9th.

I'm actually doing the Sydney Colour Run at Olympic Park on Sunday 10th and have to be there at 8am!

Is Saturday a problem for you guys?

I'm running manly dam at 5pm tonight with some shod friends. Were meeting In the car park at 5pm and doing the 10km loop. Come along if you're interested. I can give out my mobile number to those who need it. Cheers. Manuwi.

Hi Manuwi. I've never done the dam and It's been a while since I ran trail so I may be a bit slow. That said, I'd like to give it a go - what pace are you guys running?

Great run - a humbling experience :wideeyed:
I've never attempted such a distance on trail (especially one roughly graded for mountain bikes) and it showed. As I write this, my feet are going blissfully numb in an ice bath. Next time I'll be wearing my Zems
But watching Manuwi fly down those hills shoeless made my jaw drop! What an inspiration! Well done mate and thanks for the tips :)

How about somewhere closer to you this time? Some place where the ground is smooth...;)
    Maybe next Sunday morning?

Yes, I can do it this sunday, I was thinking of doing the following route http://runkeeper.com/user/spiderweb62/route/1895902, only problem is that the section along the Waverley cemetery is quite rough, it is a scenic way, built on deck like structure, but they put a very rough material on top (non slippery) given the closeness to the water...The section is about 500m, the rest is quite nice and smooth...the view is really worth it....We could either come back the same way, or go up, but it is along roads, and not as nice...It would make about 8km return trip

After that we can have a coffee at Coogee, what do you think ?
