The Surly Trail Loppet (http://www.loppet.org/trailloppet/) is this Saturday. I'm doing the half marathon. Is anyone else going to this?

This was definitely the most challenging barefoot race I've ever done. The mix of gravel, acorns and broken asphalt took its toll over the 13 plus miles. I made it though, and feel ready to try it again.

I'm not looking to set any records, personal or otherwise. I'm saving that up for the Monster Dash in late October.

Gotta take my daughter to something Saturday morning. Wish I could find an opportunity to meet some real live MN barefooters, though.
    Have fun and represent!

Weather is looking good for this. I'm ready. Should be fun. And there is beer at the end.

Finished with a time of 2:17. I'll take it. I was nervous about a hamstring injury, because I've been feeling a lot of tightness there lately. No problems though. I'm pretty sure I was the only barefoot runner there. I saw a few pairs of toe-shoes, but no other barefoot runners. It helped to know the really tough areas. That's one major benefit from doing this race the previous year. That way I could mentally prepare myself and save my energy beforehand, so I could spend that energy on a stride where I land more on my toes than normal. I'm already thinking of next year. But now, on to the Monster Dash in late October.

A report? Wha? Huh? I didn't know there'd be homework. :) I take it you mean something beyond what I posted and in a different forum, perhaps.
