No where do they bother to state the reasons why people's tendons and muscles are weakened in the first place...shoes!

And...

"The researchers calculated that the weight of the shoe only accounted for 18% of the difference in speed."

To a runner who takes their races seriously, 18% is a hell of a difference. (Not just only accounted for...)
 
And the shod runners report what %?
18 runners out of 109 runners who were making the change reported a muscle or bone injury.
 
I've read reports that state 70% of all shod runners will become injured at least once per year.
 
My friends who run fully shod as opposed to min-shod always talk about how they ice down after every run. EVERY SINGLE RUN. Cripes, wouldn't that tell them something?
I think it tells most people than humans aren't supposed to run. Like many things, people just assume they know how to do it. To many it seems preposterous that you should have to learn how to run.
