Howdy folks, Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in regards to a race that I'm going to be running (barefoot of course) in lawton Oklahoma on 10-16-11. If you are interested, you can find more details here. They offer a 5k, a half marathon, and a team half marathon. I'm planning on the 5k because my barefoot distance isn't up to that yet, and I'd love to get an entirely barefoot race under my belt this year. I'd encourage everyone in the chapter to head down and run it or see what it is all about. It's for a great cause, and is put on by my place of employment. Plus, it would be a great opprotunity for a group run. The park where the course is located is fabulous as well. It's my normal run location.
