Well last Thursday was an eventful time for Special Olympics. My friend Megan, who's a barefooter from Ames came out to watch me win gold in bocce. We got a picture with fellow barefooter and Special Olympian Katie. Megan hung out with my mom and I in her bare feet, I had my FiveFingers. Megan was barefoot pretty much the whole time in her barefoot sandals. We had lunch, looked at TJ Maxx, and walked around a park until the opening ceremonies where yours truly was named Special Olympics male athlete of the year!!! My mom was keeping this secret for a long time and I was so shocked and proud!
