Defo without socks and I hope you ordered a full size smaller than you are . I’m a size 9.5/10 uk size and I wear vibrams in a 8.5-9.0 and they fit like a glove.... you may laugh but I tend to take them in the shower with me after every couple of runs to clean them as they can get a bit smelly !!!!!!!!!!!
What kind have you gone for ? I always go for the kso evo they have the thinnest sole for the best feedback.

Thanks. I will try without socks today. But for sure I am having big issue fitting my pinky toe. Its keep on sticking with adjacent finger which is making it little difficult for me to control it. Currently I have ordered same size as my normal shoe as I was not sure about it. As per Vibram online shoe size calculator, this is supposed to be my size but I can see it is little loose. So lets c how will it go.

Throw them into the washer every time you do a load of clothing and you'll keep the legendary Vibram stink at bay. Once they get stinky, it's too late.

:DVibram FiveFingers- my favourite shoes when I have to be a Shoddie!

I’ve worn them with and without socks. If I’m on a hike or run typically no socks (they dry faster) but be prepared for odoriferous control.

-socks are a must if you’re going to someone’s home. Injinji has awesome patterns
-in winter I wear socks when the temperatures start dipping. When they really dip I put on the Insulated Trek Ascents. I strongly advise buying these two sizes larger.
-I usually throw a bounce sheet in them, it helps.
-if they’re wet and you’re going to be in a vehicle for awhile zip lock freezer baggies are your best friend.
-I typically wash them with my work clothes. A bucket of water with vinegar does wonders as well.

I’m pretty hard on these shoes- they’ve been abused in all kinds of conditions- bouldering, trail running, rivercrossing, whitewater rafting, mountain climbing, the occasional stretch of pavement, dancing :)...they’re pretty versatile!

Thanks all. Yesterday I had my first run with them ... It was a new experience as my pinky finger is too attached to its adjacent finger so keep it in its column was a challenge.
The problem I faced was blister on back of feet. Anything to avoid it? Pic attached for area

Thanks ADeel, it's useful to read this experiences

First I have to say I usually use socks on long runs (>2h). I don't for short runs, walking and/or SUP.

I would say that your blister will not happen after some runs when your fivefingers get a little loose or "moulded" around your aquiles tendon. Meanwhile you can use a tiny adhesive tape just to avoid bruising. Or... use socks :hilarious:

Getting the optimal fitting from fivefingers it's a little bit complicated if you can not test it on a local store. Ordering online has its inconvenience. I personally should take at least a size smaller for my feet, I feel much more safe/confortable on those long runs with thin socks that barefeet. At the end it's a personal choice/feeling, because fivefingers' fabric is comfortable itself. In my opinion.

I ususally dont wear socks for anything less than 10 km too.. The problem with sizing is that there are no local stores for Vibram in my country. I have to order them from USA so I selected my normal shoe size of old ASICS ...It seems to be that I should have ordered size 43 instead of 44, which might be better fit . but currently cant do anything ...
For back blister, I will use adhesive tape. . hopefully it wont affect for long time ... Also finding 5 fingers socks is also very difficult there .. :)

finger socks are very available on internet at very low price and they are not as sentitive to size as shoes

I use socks when it gets cold, otherwise it's too hot. I use my normal shoe sized fivefingers, otherwise my toes feel cramped. Some models are pretty tight at the back of heel, especially v-alpha, it actually caused me pretty bad back of the heel damage.. So if problem persists, I would suggest getting rid of them. Or modifying them somehow. V-runs used to have comfortably loose heels, but unfortunately they "fixed" that. This is what I did to my new pair of v-runs, heels got atleast a bit looser. I haven't tested them actually yet, I'll probably use the old pair anyways until the summer ends, they are pretty nicely molded after something like 2500-3000 km. Also have holes at both big toes and soles have worn thinner, they weight 10 grams less each.

I have the V-Run pair.. i would try to do this stretch to them too .. May be it will help it to keep that back part away from rubbing the feet back area for me

Please share or donate if you can! A testimony from hey future ToeGo’s user

“As someone who loves to bike trust me it's a good idea.

"The part the pedal stimulates, the inner of the big toe, specifically the left big toe, is the beginning of the spleen meridian. People eating too much, too fast, too rich, too late at night, or are too tired (kidney problem starts to affect the spleen,) will have one or both swollen big toes. They might just complain their shoes too tight, but don't know about the inflammed spleen. Hallux Valgus may be because a person has ongoing swollen big toes, and tight shoes."

Totally think that's what I got!!

Depends on stink build up and need to use shoes in public.. I try to keep my commute run vibrams somewhat non-stinky, but it doesn't matter that much when it's dry.. Maybe monthly, at winter probably twice a month..

Depends on what I use them for. For day to day activities maybe every couple of weeks. When I go for hikes or long trail runs (especially if there’s water crossings) I soak them in a water/vinegar solution.
