We all love light and unrestricitive uppers ,but that pretty much ensures that durability will be compromised, and indeed I've found minmalist uppers reach their end of life whilst the soles are still fully useable. For that reason I've cut down my first Vivo Evos and made them up like a Xero shoe kit. I left a few mm in front of the toes as a stone guard. After some use I'm happy to report that, due to my liking of the evo sole, these are now my favorite sandals. Next time I might use elastic laces, but they seem secure enough, which has been a problem for me sometimes with sandals. Admittedly they're not the most aesthetically pleasing, as shown.... but you can't get greener than resue.P1010002.JPG

Very cool indeed, Paul! I still think we need a huarache smiley around here. ;)
