One of my fellow Autism Society of Iowa board members Suzanne Hackenmiller will be leading a Shinrin Yoku or Japanese Forest bathing walk for people on the autism spectrum this June. As a fellow board member and autistic individual I decided to register. She even told me specifically that I could be barefoot during part of it if I wanted to. Here's a link to find out more about what Shinrin Yoku is http://www.desmoinesregister.com/st...find-peace-new-trend-forest-bathing/97061758/

Also here's information about the Shinrin Yoku for people with autism: http://autismia.com/event/sensory-nature-hike-shinrin-yoku-jester-park-granger-ia/
