Running shoe debate

Long indeed. I just managed to watch the intro and the first 2 panelists. Then I lost interest on the shoe discussion. They are doing really interesting research that I would say is more relevant to injury than the shoe itself.

In what I saw, I think they miss the mark by not comparing to barefoot being the bottom line. In my opinion a runner with weak feet is a weak runner.

Good remark from the minimalist shoe proponent to have kids being barefoot.

Also surprised not hearing more about training. I think that is the main driver for people getting injured together with not knowing how to run. Shoes are less important but there is not as much money on training people as selling expensive foam with carbon plates on it.
