Hi All This is my first Year in 100% Barefoot Transition ( Training and race days all Barefoot ) . I have a planned 100K on 22 Nov 2020 and 100Miler in Feb 2021 . I Hail from Delhi - India and weather is already changing . Request your advice on better adaptation to Colder Surface to get better of Training Barefoot. Training Runs are 4-5 times in a week and mileage going on is 80 Km and will till 180 Km
Just keep running barefoot as the weather changes and you will adapt. Unless you have circulation problems, 0C should be no problem. Below freezing slush mixed with salt is a really bad idea, fresh snow and slush are bad ideas, but packed snow can be OK, depending. One key to running BF comfortably in the cold is to wear an extra layer because you lose so much heat through your feet. You'll also find your feet to be more sensitive, so gravel sections that give you no problem in summer may be a little much.
