Ron Hill dead at 82

    Hi All,

    Sad to say old acquaintance Ron Hill died last week after battling Alzheimers for a few years now. I caught up with him and family last time I was in the UK around 2 years ago and it was so sad to see how he had been robbed of his memories.
    He often ran barefoot in the early days as mentioned in the article below, and even won a marathon.

    His running career would have been one of the longest ever.

    That's interesting being a boy from Hyde myself. I didn't think there were any other barefoot people in that area. I was in the UK around a year and half ago and did some running but I wore my Xero's as the ground was too yucky.
    The footpaths in Australia are much more amenable to barefoot running.
