I received a brand-new pair of Prio All Day SR from Xero Shoes free of charge to try them on and review them.
This is an updated review on the one I did last year of the Prio-All-Day since the design and construction are the same, only difference is the SR has a new slip resistant sole.
The SR is a leather, non-slip service shoe, it has:
· Protective upper body made of all-black full grain leather to meet service industry standards
· Huarache-inspired tensioning system for a secure fit
· They come with a light and comfortable insole, easy to take out and put back in
· They have a wide toe box
· Each men’s shoe weights 10.6 ounces
· Zero drop low-to-the-ground design
· A new flexible, non-slip feel-true sole with a dual-direction chevron pattern for traction that provides great grip
· Like all Xero products, backed with a 5000 mile warranty
Doing a side by side comparison of the new Prio All Day SR and the Prio-All-Day I reviewed in August 2021, they’re basically the same, but with different soles.
The SR has a completely different tread pattern, tighter, dual direction made from chevron material, its softer, has great flexibility and feel-true characteristic.
One thing that strikes me on this side by side comparison, is that I’ve worn my Prio All Day’s for the last 5 months at least 4-5 times per week and they look almost like new, Talk about durability!
I’ve used the SR for a few days walking and jogging on smooth hard surfaces, on concrete, on asphalt, on synthetic floors, and under dry and wet conditions.
Here are my findings:
They feel good, comfortable.
The wide toe box allows my toes to move freely, I don’t feel any constriction.
After wearing them all day I don’t have any discomfort or pain.
The Zero drop and feel-true sole allow you to feel the ground while being protected, and have great grip.
These are great barefoot shoes for work when you are required to do a lot of errands, walking and standing, and even some running.
· They’re lightweight considering they’re made of leather, they feel robust and sturdy enough to withstand long active days at work.
· They’re comfortable and sporty
· You don’t compromise your posture while wearing them
· They allow you to move more naturally providing the right dose of support and stability
· And now the slip-resistant sole provides great grip, makes for a perfect service shoe.
I highly recommend them.
