Hi, When your chapter has a get-together, or a run planned, or a racing event to go to, PLEASE, PLEASE add it to the Calendar (of Events) by clicking on the Post New Event button at the top of your chapter's home page. You can post reoccurring meetups too! Also, when you do, there will be a new area created within your chapter's home page that will group all you upcoming events together. Pretty cool stuff, so check it out! Oh, but you have to have at least one upcoming event to see it! Thanks! TJ P.S. BTW, I am working on getting our photo albums on the site really soon, so you guys can share photos of your group's members and make your chapter's home page even more personable!
Your event shows up in the Calendar and your Chapter's threads correctly, but it does not show up in a section of your chapter reserved for only your events. I created a test event in your chapter just now. Everyone, go to the Germany Chapter and look if you are interested to see what I am talking about. Pretty cool, huh? Because joohneschuh's does not show up in this special block, but mine does, this tells me that we are dealing with a simple permissions issue. A simple correction, and I could hunt around to find it, but I am already talking with Jonathan (our developer) about making the permissions' settings (all of them, site-wide for the new modules) a part of the module install, so let me get with him on this as well. We plan to resolve it no later than the last of this week, although I have asked for sooner. (I still will sneak around though.) -TJ
Hold on, TJ, the event I posted is way in the future. I´m pretty sure I read somewhere that only events within the next 90 days will show in the chapter (automatically, I guess, when it is due).
Yea, that's true. I'm not thinking straight. Please create a fake-test thread, and let's make sure it shows up.
TJ, I do not see the Post Event Button at the top of my chapter's home page. I see the Post New Thread button. Should it be close to this?
