also, for race distance I'm training for there was nothing in the HM range so I clicked "Other" There is a lot of ground between 10K and marathon!

The distances were more for races. I know there are some races in between, but the most popular are 10k, then marathon. I just copied the various running race distances from wikipedia. I would change it now, but I don't want to mess with the data.

Tyler, it is so important to include those distances though. I mean most average Joe runners take part in shorter distance races, 5K, 10K, 15K, Half. If the survey has to be reconducted to include this data, then I would say go for it.
