Hmm crocks don't really seem any more minimalist to me than many normal running shoes, odd and unconventional perhaps. Last I had a pair several years ago I recall the soles quite thick, cushioned, and shaped with pretty defined arch support. And I got blisters in them with somewhat wet feet (walking along creek bed), though I was not wearing socks and they were a bit too big for me (almost always have to go too big to get the width wide enough with conventional shoes). These guys are wearing socks though. Good for cheap footwear (especially the knock-offs), but I would not say anything like barefoot on grass lol!
