I can run to the park via trails along the Buck Creek. The trail at the park is quite short: 1-2 miles depending on how one makes their loops... However, along with the Buck Creek Preserve, this is a great area to run loops and more loops. The terrain almost completely shaded, which is nice on hot summer days... The surfaces vary between hard-packed trails, trails with roots and leaves, including some stones and wood chips... You can find some gravel and paved paths too. A wooden boardwalk also exists on the North end of the park, which I use all the time to access Palmer Park. I plan to use this site for a hosted 31-40 mile group run in July 2010. Good times!
