If you could study the anatomy of the foot in more depth, you would see that it is a phenomenon of biomechanical engineering, representing a technology that we are still far from mastering.

Your foot is made up of extremely strong and robust muscles and tendons, an amazing set, which was designed to support the weight of your entire body, even running at high speed, making numerous acrobatic challenges possible.

A few decades ago, to make sense of their sales marketing and leverage the profit margin, shoe manufacturers discovered that it would be possible and coherent to promise more cushioning and protection against the impact of running. In fact, to do this successfully, it would be necessary to invent something similar to a bionic foot, attached to the original foot.

What was seen in the following years was the commercialization of increasingly hard, tall and structured shoes. For a change, trying to surpass God, the human being promised to improve a project that was already perfect.

That’s when bioanthropology research emerged, at the hands of Daniel Lieberman, a professor at Harvard (USA) and a great scholar of evolutionary biology, concluding that sneakers structured to cushion the impact were causing an unexpected side effect.
