We live in Louisiana, most of us grew up barefoot right? So there's got to be more than just a handfull of us out there. If you live or run in and around the Baton Rouge area, post in here and maybe we can try to get something going. I run both the roads and trails here.
Bayou Runner, There are trails in Louisiana?!? Where can I find these trails of which you speak? I live in Houma, but I go to Baton Rouge for work probably 2-3x a month. We should get together and run sometime!
One of the most commonly used are the Comite River and Hooper Road mountain bike trails. They're located off Hooper road, not far from the BR airport. The two trail systems are about 5-6 miles a piece, and are actually joined by a connector trail. The other one used by BR trail folks is The Beast up in St. Francisville. There's a group that meets at the Comite Park on Thursday afternoons if you're ever in town around then, if not just give me a heads up and I'd be glad to show you the trails.
