After decades of running in motion control shoes with rigid prescription orthotics, I've transitioned to doing most of my running either barefoot or in minimalist sandals (6 mm Xero Shoes). Running is now more enjoyable, and I haven't had a significant injury in 2.5 years in spite of increased weekly distance. I'm passionate about minimalist/barefoot running, and I maintain a website, Intrinsic Running, that may be of interest to many of you: http://intrinsicrunning.com I joined BRS about a week ago, and would like to help with increasing the activity of the Phoenix, Arizona Chapter.
