I joined this group a few days ago and wanted to finish my first 5k before posting. I ran the RedFish 5k at Pier Park in PCB. I looked everywhere for bare feet or at least VFFs. None that I could see. I was in my VFFs and was getting looks like I was from Mars or something.

I've only been running for 3-1/2 months and found out quick that I couldn't run in shoes. I am amazed that with all the sound information available that we are not main stream yet.

Well I hope to see some of you at the next race!

We're an odd and rare lot for sure. My friend and I ran the Jingle Bell Run 10K for Arthritis in Fort Walton Beach this morning. We were the only two barefoot runners, and I saw one in Invisible Shoes or Xeros as they are called now.

I am sorry that we are not a main street thing but we have to accept.
One of the things we are not so good at is to be humble.
The way Vibram entered the scene has been a catastrophy.
If we want to run natural the easiest way is to be just yourself.
The runtechnic for instance recommended is way out of natural.

    I can run barefoot ( have done 100K ), I can run in Hoka - www.hokaoneone.com -
and anything else. As long as I run the way my body wants to.
Not some scientific Internet truth. Pose is as you say in US - bull shit. OK. Less then a minimalistic number of people can run like that.
But for normal people - no way.
    I trust normal people more.
