Seems a little harsh holding Merrel responsible for pronation wear, after all there's a limit to much rubber you can add and still have a minimalist shoe. Surely you want to land on the ball and roll out to the side. "Take it to Timpsons", love that - get an office sole stapled on, they must have been having a laugh Ha Ha. Moot point how long these minimal shoe will last. At least you get to try the new model.

The sole wore too quick for me, about 150 miles, they look similar to your pics. I have about 500 on Bikilas and still going.

Considering that pronation is a pretty common thing to some degree or other, I don't think it's that harsh a comment at all. If you look at a pair of these unworn, the tread pattern and sole appear to be thinnest in that area. All I'm saying is that this is the kind of attention to detail that would have made this a great shoe and not just a good shoe.

If you look at a lot of BF running instruction, including the Mark Cucuzella video I posted earlier today, the advice actually appears to promote at least a slight pronation.

I also had another long time runner tell me that he has this problem with all his shoes. His solution? Duck tape on the affected areas. I tried it earlier in the week and it worked OK.
