They were excited to see my pieces. (Mostly MA historical scenes, mixed with academic themes). One of the administrative members saw my wedding ring, asked my husband's name. I smiled and replied,"Stephanie." He was unfazed by my reply. He smiled when I mentioned she's a new professor. He knows folks who work at Steph's school.
After we met, I went to the food court on campus for lunch. As I was digging into my salad, Megan decided she wanted lunch too. I put her across my lap, and folded down the bib of my overalls (my go to outfit when working). Being finals week, most students were too focused to notice me. After she nursed, I let her finish my salad.
