Finished my first barefoot half marathon over the weekend, very excited! Took me 02:28 and I was able to sprint towards the end. No pains whatsoever, only a couple of knicks from sharp pebbles. Route was all city asphalt roads.

Thanks to the forum for all the support!

Thank you Tristan, Dama & TJ!! Ya, it was a lot of fun. Training to go under 2:15 now.

My left foot is now acting up. Had the same problem initially with my right foot which i ignored and ran and had to sit aside for 6 weeks. This time around I'm being more careful and not pushing it. Both my fore feet have increased in width and look like they are permanently swollen:) hopefully it's normal. I feel great though.

Well done! That's really good time.
Did you run it in India? I would like to see some pictures please!
Swollen feet after a hard long run is normal the first few times in my experience. They return to normal after a few days. Foot massages and a foot bath with Epsom Salts help.

I took it as his feet were just acclimating to being a barefoot runner and widening and growing stronger. Some times feet do change noticeably as they toughen up. Mine, just a little, but enough I can notice.
