This race was a fundraiser for Dahlonega's Community Helping Place. It started at St. Elizabeth's Church and ended at The Dahlonega Baptist Church. A shuttle was offered to commute runners back to the start.

I used RunKeeper to track the run. Click here to see the map.

Terrain
The whole race took place on road. I have only been running barefoot for a month and had no problem running this course(as far as the texture of the ground goes). There was one short spot with a large amount of debris from trees(I suppose these would be called leafs) and a few rocks. My trail running skills kicked in and I was out of there in no time.

The Course
If you dislike hills, this is not your 5K. 99% of the course was either going up a hill or down a hill. One brutal hill that was 13% grade for .6 miles. After that it is mostly downhill, or at least it seemed that way after that hill.

The Volunteers
Not once did I have to remind myself that these people are volunteers. They were super nice, friendly, and helpful. The churches brought breakfast for the runners and had Powerade at the end of the race.
