Mileage Reporting Week 18 (Apr 27- May 3)

Boulder and I went out for 2 runs yesterday. The first run was right after a storm and as we were out the lightning was so bad we returned home, we only got 1 mile in. Later on in the day we went out for another 6.5 miles. It was very sunny out.

6.35km loop around the lake this morning. -Bit of a cold wet day, but the rain was only light, so not too bad a run. Not many other runners out though, so nice and quiet too!....

Boulder and I did 3 more runs this week.
Thursday we did a 5 mile run.
Friday we did a 4 mile run.
Today we did a 7.5 mile run.
All three were really great outings. the sunrise today was outstanding. We spotted may birds and in one spot we caught 6 ducks flying.

7km on Sunday morning. Nice quiet morning, not too many people around. In fact I think there were more swans on the lake than I saw people! I think I must have been there at 'swan flying practice' time -they were all taking off & landing repeatedly. The take-off generally seems to be a bit of a noisy affair (lots of flapping & water splashing going on..); and the landing just appears to be a bit of a controlled crash really... But I'd forgotten how elegant they look when they're actually in the air!.
Nice morning's run. Quite relaxing...
