Update on the 2mm sandals: Best groundfeel ever!
They seem like they will do fine.
(If not, then I may have to resort to Saran wrap and dental floss!)

This guy made some from 1mm. However, I found that the laces would tear through 1mm, but 2mm was ok.

I posted some photos of the top side of the sandals last week. I'll try to take some photos from the side.

Oh ok, I guess I forgot that those were the 2mm ones.

I tried to take some photos from the side. Apparently with 2mm thickness, it's pretty hard to take a photo on edge.

Then I realized, if someone wants to figure out how 2mm compares to 4mm, they could just look at a ruler!
