I'm training for my first half in November with Fleet Feet in Little Rock. Long runs are up to 6 miles. We usually start in Two-Rivers park and run down the river. Most of us run 4:1 intervals. Not fast but steady. I've learned that, at least in hot, humid conditions, I'm faster running intervals than otherwise. I can control my heart-rate better and don't punk out. Limiting my pace is still a problem but my Fleet Feet group helps a lot with that. My goal is not any certain time but simply to finish and not die.
