Midfoot vs Forefoot Landing

Spinningwoman, midfoot is when your foot lands mostly flat on the ground, not rolled to the outer edge or anything like that. Obviously the heel and the forefoot will hit the ground first simply because of the arch, but the idea is to try to land your foot pretty flat to the ground.

As far as Dr Lieberman and the forefoot issue, I remember reading somewhere that when he first studied bf ken bob, he thought using his eyes that he bf ken bob landed pancake flat (midfoot), but upon inspection of the video he actually found that he landed forefoot first and just a split second later his heel touched. I think that's why he seems to talk about forefoot versus heel strike more, because technically bf'ers tend to land forefoot first, although it's so close to flat that you couldn't even see that except with the high speed video.
