I got to try on the Mix Master this morning; I didn't care for it. Overall the shoe looked like a decend NB 110 competitor, but the toebox was too narrow. I would have liked a more rounded, trail glove-esque toebox. Had that been the case it could have been an ideal trail running option.
As it was, my big toe would have torn through one side while my pinky toe clawed it's way out for air on the other. I don't have particularly wide feet either, though I have become more comfortable in the "wide" version of most shoes since beginning bfr. I think that's more due to trying to spread out my toes than structural changes, though since I haven't been at it for a super long time.
So, there you have one man's opinion. Try it out and draw your own conclusions. The more feedback folks get the better informed they can be.
