    Kicked off May with a Sprint

    Kicked off May with a Sprint Triathlon early in the morning...despite having my butt kicked on the bike ride I managed a 20:03 on the 5k barefoot run section good for 3rd place in my age group overall for the race...so happy about that.

    The highlight of the day was the IBRD run late in the afternoon with BRS members TJ, Tom, Rex and Greg for a few miles of barefoot trail/pavement running... Lots of fun and good conversation!

    I got three miles in for the

    I got three miles in for the week! Not much, but given the lack of running for months on end, I'm happy with that. :) I did manage some sprints in there too, which was nice.

    Ran 3 miles this morning,

    Ran 3 miles this morning, first run after the marathon that was on Sunday. Not sore but easing slowly back into my regular regime. Had a little something going on around the knee, definitely a sign that my IT band is tight. A foam roller with take care of that.

    Looking to do another marathon in Oct.

    Kicked off May with my first

    Kicked off May with my first BF 1/2 Marathon - 2:33:51.

    I ran 11 of the 13 bare, using my water shoes for 2 miles (out and back) of the nastiest terrain called The Crooked Mile.

    Yesterday left the house

    Yesterday left the house early morning to run and there was ice on my car...it was 35F...went back inside, put on my winter running cloths and some trail shoes. This was the 3rd time this Spring I thought I was done with shoes only to be surprised. Did 6 miles trails in the local woods..this really really should be the last shoe run for a long time.

    19.8 miles for this week. had a great long run (12 miles) today on some trails so that was a great change of pace from the roads i usually have to run.



    next week is all low mileage until the Born to Run Ultra next saturday! cant wait!

    hey Ches, I like it. I didn't think I would but it'd a good workout. I say give it a shot. I plan to do more p90 after marathon training, just not enough time in the day to do it all.

    Monday 2nd: p90 core synergistics

    Tuesday 3rd: 6mi barefoot

    Wednesday 4th: 1.5hrs Zumba

    Thursday 5th: 7mi run, 1hr Zumba

    Friday 2hr Zumba

    Saturday 20mi mostly barefoot, socks somewhere in the middle on rough terrain and at the end

    Sunday rest

     Tues & Friday - 7 miles

    Tues & Friday - 7 miles barefoot local roads each, 14 miles barefoot total for the week.
