Formerly known internationally as the Copper Canyon Ultramarathon and of Born to Run fame. In memory of Micah True "Caballo Blanco," the race has returned to the name by which it was known in the Canyons, "Ultramaraton Caballo Blanco."​

• 50+ miles (80km)
• Ran on rocky single-track and dust roads
• Cutoff time is 14 hours
• Course is marked with white paint on rocks
• Insured event

Recommendations

• Bring your own electrolytes
• Course will have pinole and fruit. If you have special nutrition needs, please bring your own.
• Bring bottles or hydration pack
• Sunscreen is recommended
• Bring bandanna or something to protect you from dust on certain sections of trail

• 12pm- 3pm Runners on Extended Hike arrive in town
• 7pm - Dinner with Runners at Mama Tita's *price not covered in race entry

Thursday, February 28, 2013

• All Day - Raramuri begin to arrive
• 8am - Course Overview - Ride to trailhead by swinging bridge in Guapalayna - Hike/Run to Los Alisos for lunch
• 6pm - Shuttle to Temazcal Sweat Lodge at Cabañas San Isidro (for those registered - limited to 20 people)

• 9am - Course Overview - Hike/Run to Guadalupe Coronado - Tour Church
• 1pm - Packet Pickup (Urique Town Square)
• 6pm - Pre-Race Runners Dinner with Raramuri (covered by race)

Saturday, March 2, 2013

• 8am - Corrida de los Caballitos Kids Race
• 3pm - Pre-Race Festival in Urique Town Square (Dancing & Cultural presentation)

Sunday, March 3, 2013

• 6am - CCUM 50 Mile Race Start *give or take a few minutes
• 5pm - Awards Ceremony and Speeches

Your donations in Micah’s memory can help the Raramuri of the Copper Canyons in their daily lives. Donations go directly to Norawas de Raramuri, a nonprofit organization started by Micah True and Mas Locos to support the Raramuri way of life.

Aside from the Caballo Blanco Ultra Marathon, we will lead community projects that celebrate and promote the Raramuri culture and help the people get easier access to water, crops and other necessities.
