DBRs present the Barefoot or Shod 5 Mile Run/5K Walk for MSA

When: March 23, 2013 * 10:30 A.M. * Fairborn, Ohio * TJ Chumps

Directions: From I-675 take the Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd exit toward Yellow Springs. TJ Chumps is on the right side of the road approximately ¼ mile from the I-675 interchange.

What is Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA)?: MSA is a degenerative neurological disorder associated with the degeneration of nerve cells in specific areas of the brain. This cell degeneration causes problems with movement, balance and other autonomic functions of the body such as blood pressure regulation. The cause of MSA is unknown and no specific risk factors have been identified. There is no remission from the disease and no known cure. Proceeds from race participants and sponsors will be donated to support ongoing research and treatments for MSA.

Check-in and Registration: 9:00 AM at TJ Chumps, 1100 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn, Ohio 45324

Early packet pickup: March 22, 5-8 PM at Roderer’s Shoe Center, 316 East Stroop Road, Dayton, Ohio

At 1 PM after the race & awards, there will be a barefoot running clinic near TJ Chumps, Fairborn, Ohio.

Awards:

Shod Categories: Overall Male/Female& top 3 in age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49. 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Barefoot (no shoes): Overall Male/Female & top 3 in age groups, 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Fees: (Non-refundable) $25 includes T-shirt and refreshments if registered by March 16, 2012.
