    Hello everyone!

I have recently been passed along the torch as the new President of the Missouri Chapter and I am pleased to kick this new era off with a send off run for our good friend and former president Barefoot Kean!

We will congregate at 8:30am near the "Runner" statue in Kiener plaza near the Old Courthouse at Broadway and Market. We will head into the crowd of runners at 8:45am.

The group run will revolve around the St Patty's Day race which begins at 9am in downtown St Louis. The run is a 5 mile run which may seem daunting for many (cause it is) but you can easily scale the run to whatever distance you desire as it loops around downtown and keeps you within close distance to the start.

This is an awesome race and I have knocked it out several times barefoot in the past. The race remains on the roads through downtown and remains relatively free of debris because of all the normal day-to-day traffic during the week. I shot a quick video of last years race if you want a glimpse!

Following the race there we can hang together as a group depending up on the weather and make our way down Market to enjoy some time together watching the parade which starts about 10 or 11am.

I have setup an RSVP for this and a thread so please RSVP if you plan to attend and we will look out for you!

Looking forward to the first event!

What is the best way to get to the race? Due to crazy traffic non driving options would be great.

The best route from my experience is to park along locust or olive somewhere around the Tucker intersection and then walk down to the race start about 5 blocks. This situates your car close to the parade route so that after the parade you can head right to your ride and get outta there.
