Did my first extended trail run in vff treksports (very rocky trail) and finished with good first barefooted run on a concrete walking trail on Friday. Lower back became stiff and sore yesterday after I commenced yardwork. Obvious conclusion is that I need to give up yardwork ...

Zumba, thanks for asking! Back was still sore when I got up this morning. I decided to try imitating what my wife's PT had done when he adjusted her SI joint and it worked! I got a very distinct pop and my back is definitely feeling better now. Basically, I layed on my back, pulled my knees up to my chest then back up to 90 degrees, rotated lower body to the side and pulled the upper leg all the way to the floor. I wonder if anyone else out there has experience with self-adjustment of the SI joint and a reliable methodology? Not sure what I did is always repeatable.
