Thank you all so much for coming and making a fantastic meetup yesterday! I would love to hear your thoughts on the logistics. What do you think about the time and place? What dates work well for you? Any ideas for future meetups? I thought that meeting at Mullets was great and the trail to Grays Lake and one loop around was a nice distance for everyone. Its also full of people, as we experienced, that we can inspire along the way. I am however up for other suggestions. Stay tuned for another meetup in August! Cheers, Angie
Thank you for setting up the meetup. It was well worth the drive! I'm not familiar with the Des Moines area to suggest alternatives but I thought Mullets and the distance to and around Gray's Lake worked great. I thought the time worked well to so as to avoid the peak heat of the day.
I am really glad you had fun and that it was worth the drive. I felt bad for having to bail early to tend to my spawn but it had to be done. Really nice group of people we have!! I think that we will more than likely plan to do the same next month. Lots of time to plan though. Oh and I will make for certain that my camera's battery is charged. I could kick myself for that!
Don't worry about needing to leave early. We all had a nice visit and it all worked out very well. Yeah... yesterday wasn't a good day for camera batteries that's for sure! Can't wait to see the pics we did get though.
Chuck and I had a fantastic time. It was so nice to see you again Angie and to meet your hero husband. As far as I am concern the time and place worked really well for us. I was glad to see Forey again, he's such a fun character. Last but not least it was nice to meet Nate(it is Nate, right?) and John-aka Andy, hahaha. Looking forwardthe next meet up and I hope I can make it. Cheers! PS, my husband is working on sending the pics out and hopefully today.
I thought it was a great location/route and a good time for everyone to meet. In fairness, perhaps we might alternate between here and Cedar Rapids/Iowa City so that the CR/IC crew don't have to drive every time. It was nice to meet everyone. Thanks for the advice on form.
