This race has great scenery. It starts at Fasig-Tipton and continues through the bluegrass past several horse farms. The half way point is inside of the Kentuck Horse Park where runners pass extremely close to the horses in the park.
2010 was the first year for this race, and it was well organized. They had fired chicken and beer at the finish. The entire course is on paved roads, and the pavement is in good condition.
Fasig-Tipton is just off of 1-75, so it is convenient for those traveling to the event.
