Knee Soreness After Increasing Run Distance

I would say that it is probably due to the hill work rather than the increased distance, primarily from the downhill hill work. Where is it hurting?

Yeah I figured that. If I rested it for a few minutes without movement it would stiffen up. I ran today. I started out walking, ran a quarter mile, then walked an eighth of a mile, then ran ~3 miles. After the initial run/walks my knees were fine and are still fine. I should probably give my "injuries" some time before I complain about them here.
