    Hi all,

This is one of the best videos I have come across that details the likely progression of a knee tendon issue and how what a lot of what we do ends up making it worse.
I found it very instructive in the stages of how to fix an issue once you have got to the stage of frustration that rest and lighter workload will not fix things.

It is about 18 minutes long but there is no fluff of filler it is all good information.

    Regards

    Neil

Glad to be of help TJ,

I am doing the static exercises that consist of:
    1. A weighted lunge on the bad knee and hold for around 30s
    2. Leg extension machine that I can adjust the angle of the push bar so I can put it at 30, 20 and 10 degrees. I put the weight on maximum (which is impossible to lift). Then with each single leg I push against it as hard as possible. It would hurt at first, more are certain angles than another. Now the pain has diminished.
    The dynamic excercises consist of:
    1. Single leg extensions on the machine again. This time with a light weight and lots of reps. It has shown that my left leg is far weaker than the right. I push the left leg harder until the quads almost give way.
    2. On an air bike I pedal backwards and that applies stress to the knee.
    3. Walking lunges with 10kg weights in each hand.
    4. Jumping as high as I can manage.
I've been doing these for around a month now and the pain has diminished.

I have stopped the running since watching the video around 3 weeks ago as per the recommendation.

    Cheers

    Neil
