I received a brand-new pair of Kelso’s from Xero Shoes free of charge to try them on and review them.
The Kelso is a retro looking classic court-style shoe made from full grain leather.
It has:
· Soft suede accent panels
· Adjustable tension straps
· Pinhole vents
· A Wicking mesh lining that keep your feet dry – it draws moisture away from your foot
· A wide toe box
· FeelTrue sole with herringbone tread pattern
· They’re zero-drop
· Lightweight 10.4 oz
After taking them for a test drive here are my impressions….
I walked with them all day, went to the farmers market, sightseeing downtown, then had a picnic, and finally ran some errands. All in all, I must have walked 5 miles during a 6 hour span.
Beautiful shoe, they look great!
I used them with and without socks – they’re really comfy both ways. To be honest, I liked them better without socks, not only did they look “cooler” but they felt amazingly comfortable.
I also tried them with and without the insoles, which are nice and light, and liked them better with the insoles.
You can really move your toes very easily inside the shoe.
The sole which I really like its design and color, is not as flexible as other Xero Shoes models, you do get to feel the ground but not as much.
They look sturdy but are surprisingly lightweight.
Again, beautiful slick retro design.
I’ll be using my Kelso’s for the weekends, reunions with friends or family, and for night outs.
The Kelso is very nice casual shoe.
