    Join us for the second in a series of Barefoot Running Workshops! In this workshop, we'll focus on lower and upper body mechanics. Don't worry if you missed the first workshop, which covered facts and fiction of barefoot running, sensory awareness and foot mechanics. We'll do a short recap to catch everyone up. Meet at the founder's statue at the corner of El Prado and Balboa.

    Thanks to Barefoot Caveman, Jamie and Marco who all made today's Barefoot Running Workshop a huge success. I think the most important lesson of the day was - in Marco's words - that we just don't play enough ;)

    I hope to make #3, which will be a week before I'm off to Chicago for another Rock 'n' Roll half. Seattle roads are pretty rough. This is the freeway at mile 11, which was made even harder on tired muscles. Although I carried a pair of Xero shoes, I never used them. Instead, I slowed until I was comfortable, but added 30 minutes to my finish time. So far, this has been the roughest Half I completed.

    Henry, that would be great to see you at the next workshop. That terrain from Seattle makes me cringe. Congrats on toughing it out!
