Just for fun, a few miles. more or less - depending on time, enthusiasm, weather, etc.

Trails in daylight, or lighted and paved multi-use path, or soft sand, or, depending on tide, hard-pack low-tide run, or a slow meander with PsychoHerman.com in the greenbelt of Sunset Beach
For beginners, we can take a few minutes and have a Play-Fun-Shop before and interspersed during the run.

Why "Play-Fun-Shop"

Because “workshop” sounds too much like work, and “Clinic” sounds too clinical.
FREE! And it’s FUN to run for fun without shoes (but shoes are optional) with friends, and new friends we haven’t met yet. And Ken Bob, with all his years, and years, and years of running barefoot may be able to help you understand how barefoot running can help you teach yourself how to run more gracefully (so maybe you won’t need those “cheaters” after all?)

Just because my Play-Fun-Shops are free, doesn't mean they’re worthless. It just means I really care about you, not just those of you who have a lot of money (I like you too, but not exclusively). I've seen too many people, both who can afford coaching, advice, and my book, Barefoot Running Step by Step , start out, especially in “barefoot shoes,” trying to run the way they BELIEVE we are supposed to run while barefoot, rather than figuring out how they should be running, in such as way as to avoid injurious stress!

 

Anyone else showing up? Otherwise, I might just make this a long dog walk with Psycho Herman. You're still welcome to join us for a long, leisurely barefoot walk with Psycho Herman, myself, and perhaps some of the neighbors and their dogs too.

 

The dog walk, also includes a tour of some of the local beach architecture, including, but not limited to the water-tower house, the castle, a former mansion of a famous actress and a motorcycle designer, the leaning beach house, and of course, the house from the roof of which a picture in Barefoot Running Step by Step was shot!

 

Costumes optional on Halloween, and any other days too

 

I will be in costume, unless I forget... Actually plan on costuming up for work, so I won't need to change for the fun run.
