I hope I am still running into my 60's, there is no reason why I shouldn't be. I've been running since I was 14 so that is already over 40 years. I've had doctors telling me that running is bad for the knees and barefoot running will wreak my back, all of it uninformed nonsense.
I believe that barefoot running is the savior of the joints as it forces you to run gently and flow with the surface rather than battle it. I can't say I see many runner in shoes that have smiles on their faces, most look grimly determined. Running should be fun.
