The 5th annual International Barefoot Running Day (IBRD) is on Sunday, May 3rd. The 2015 IBRD Pages are ready for use and all links are up-to-date. Please think about organising an event in your area (or even just a run with friends and family.) Visit the IBRD page (http://thebarefootrunners.org/pages/IBRD/) and locate the link to register your event. There's a lot of useful information here too, along with some links and ideas on how to get your event noticed. We look forward to the Maryland Chapter participating in this very important day! Paul .
I'm in if there is a run. I'm in Frederick but can travel a little. I'd be looking for 10K+ or whatever just to have fun.
You're in luck! This year IBRD for the DC Metro area will join with the Frederick Running Festival. Saturday night there will be a twilight 5K and Sunday there is the half. Three, so far, have committed to the half so, if you're game, you'll make 4. Look for info posted on the BRS soon.
ALERT ALERT ALERT The DC venue has changed for IBRD. We will now be running in the Race for Hope in DC at Freedom Plaza. There was some concern about new & potential barefoot runners and the distance for the half so the consensus was to change to a local 5K. The event has been submitted on the IBRD local events page and contains all the pertinent information . Registration is $40 or $45 depending on whether one wants to be timed or not. Sorry about this late change. Hope you are still able to make it out.
