    Hello Fellow WA BFR's!
It's time to start planning our IBRD event here in Seattle on May 5th 2013.

I would like to plan an event in Tacoma or Seattle. I'm open for suggestions on venues - what are some of your favorite parks or trails to run on? I'd like to go for a leisurely run and gather afterwards to get to know each other, share barefoot running tips and have a coffee/tea and snack.

Please send me your ideas and suggestions, and stay tuned for event details!

Woohoo! Well, I definitely would love to help, but it would be tough (not impossible tho) to do a Tacoma run so I would vote for Seattle. I was looking at seeing if there was enough interest to do more of an urban run, maybe starting at Gasworks, Seattle Center or other fairly easily accessible place close to downtown parks. Although I personally love Matthews Beach, it's not the easiest venue to get to. Magnussen might be a fun run, or Discovery Park. There's so many places to choose from! :)

I have run at Magnuson Park in Seattle and it is a good venue with varied terrain. It also has a parking lot for people driving. Gas Works Park would be closer for me and there is the Burke-Gilman trail to run on. But parking for people driving may be more of an issue. I plan on riding my bike to the site if possible.

I am not familiar with the Tacoma area to suggest any sites.

In Puyallup Clark Creek Park has some nice dirt trails but it is hilly and parts are rough since these trails are not maintained. The park does have a parking lot for people driving.

I also vote for Seattle over Tacoma. Urban or trail would suite me fine.

    Hey Matthew!
We're doing Magnuson. I hope you can make it! Do you still have the IBRD sign that you had last time?

Ahhh, No I don't have the signs...they ended up getting water spilled on them on the ride home and smeared. I might be able to swing something - which of were you hoping for? All three?

Would you mind just printing out a sign with the logo on it. Mainly to help people find us and for the photo! Thanks.
