A lot of the Kenyans and Ethiopians train barefoot, then race shod...mostly for the shoe sponsorships...we all.know the story. If it weren't for developing good form while training barefoot, I doubt their wins would happen as frequently. If it wasn't for the sponsorships, I bet we'd see a lot more regular people willing to race barefoot because they'd see that it can be done successfully by the elites' example. Yes, it's a shame.
