After an almost 2 year barefoot running hiatus: I'M BACK! Due to some work obligations and the 2 long winters I've been confined to primarily shod running and an occasional run in my Luna's. But today marks my first long run for my 18.12 Challenge in good ol' North Country, NY in August and the Army 10 Miler in October. I ran my last mile barefoot and my feet are tender I'm definitely going to need to ease into again, but it feels good to be back at it.

    Welcome back!

I'm signed up for the 18.12 too! But I injured my calf at my last race which has set me back... I think its healed now and just easing back into normal runs, but I'm now way behind on training to race it, so I was debating on backing down to the 1/2 marathon... not sure... But I'm excited there will be another barefoot (or Luna?) runner there!

Just about 2 years, I stopped barefooting August 2016. But the sun is out and I'm feeling great. Thought I would be okay since I regularly put in a few miles in my Luna's, but barefooting is a different beast. That second day soreness is no joke! My calves are still unbelievably tight.

@Tristan, sorry to hear about your injury but glad to that you are healing well. The 18.12 will be my longest run ever. I'm doing a modified half marathon training. I'm pretty nervous and hope it's enough. I'm pretty excited to meet another BF!
