I signed up - does anyone know of a good area to do a long warm up near the start? Thanks!

Do you mean running? If so, going up and down on Ravenswood would most likely be clear for a nice long warm up. If you're talking abut stretching or doing warm-up exercises, I'm sure there's plenty of space on Hermitage.

If anyone else has some input, please let D'vorah know.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, but I do mean running. The 5K distance is too short for me to race without a really long warm up first.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Does anyone have any tips on parking? We have friends who live in the area and might have a spat available, but I was wondering if there were other good parking options.

I hadn't realized this before, but this looks like a pretty big race.

Great question Matt. I'm thinking all along ravenswood, which has a lot of parking available. Parking on side streets should be fine too since not many are permit parking. I don't live too far from the event so I might just do a warm up run to the start. I'm not sure yet.

I also like barefoot Owen's idea of meeting near the church.

I looked at the map and see that the start of the race is only a couple blocks away from a friend's house, and there is usually parking there. But I imagine you have to get there early before the spaces all fill up.

In front of the All Saints Episcopal Church works for me.

Hey, guys. This all sounds great. I'm looking forward to running tomorrow.

So, the plan is to meet by the sign in front of All Saints Episcopal Church at 7:30, then? Does anyone have a race fan coming along who would be willing to take a snap shot of all of us before or after the race? I'll be flying solo. It would be nice to get a photo of all of us crazy barefooters on International Barefoot Running Day.

See ya in the morning. :)

I'll try to get my wife to come out to take pics. I'm sure we can also ask other runners to do us the favor.

As a last resort, the event has the brightroom taking pictures. Hopefully they capture some great action shots of us!

BTW, I just picked up my race packet. Has everyone else done so?

Chelsea -- It will be good to see one of the Three Amigos tomorrow. I'm still a little concerned about parking, but I figure if I get there early enough, there should still be some spots in the neighborhood.
