I just finished reading "Running with Sherman" by Christopher McDougall. Got it for Christmas.
I highly recommend it for anybody that likes a good, uplifting story. (And who doesn't - especially now?)
Without spoiling the book too much, I will say that the story of the trials and tribulations of training a badly neglected little donkey to compete in a mountain race is chock full of MacDougall's usual mix of fascinating facts, colorful characters, amazing human interest stories, and plenty of humor - much of it at the author's expense.
I defy you to read this and not be cheering like crazy for Sherman and the rest of the gang as their story unfolds.
