Last Friday I was driving to a client's house in Princeton and, miracle to see, a guy was running down the street toward me, barefoot! I turned and followed him for a block as I finished a phone call, then caught up and spoke to him.
It was his first ever BF run! I asked how far he was going to try for and he said 2.5 miles. I strongly suggested that he tune that aspiration down a bit and try maybe a mile for his first run, so as to give his feet a chance to get used to the new stresses. He said that he'd better stop then.
We talked for a bit, exchanged names and I pointed him to the BRS for great info and support.
I hope he found his way here. (Good luck, Alex!)
