Hello! ok, I want to buy Some huaraches but baulk at paying the P&p for a kit for the USA. No one seems to be Selling the bits except in bulk so I was hoping to get a kit from Somewhere in the uk. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks in advance for any help.
I'm not familiar with the I'm not familiar with the stores in the UK, but would a craft store have the parts you need? You could get a sheet of Vibram Cherry rubber, and some lacing. Just a thought.
I'm looking myself, and the I'm looking myself, and the best I've come up with so far is this http://www.algeos.com/acatalog/Kalgena_Riubbed_Rubber.html or this http://www.algeos.com/acatalog/Vibram_Non_Slip_Sheeting.html or this http://www.algeos.com/acatalog/Wellen_Trainer_Sheeting.html You'll get a good few pairs out of that. They also do rubberised cork for a footbed. I haven't found a leather supplier yet. These look a bit expensive, so my next port of call is my local cobbler and the horseriding shop in my village. I also have a possible contact in Germany who thinks he might be able to get similar materials cheaper.
If you're going to buy a pair of Xero Shoes, buy them from the U.S. site, even including shipping they're still cheaper than getting them form the U.K. site. I've ordered 2 pair from them and they've arrived in about a week.
I suggest contacting Tracy at Barefoot Britain. She is Brighton based and maybe able to help. http://barefootbritain.co.uk/
As far as I know there are 3 stockists of Xeros in the UK. I have has very good dealings with Simon at Xero.uk and Tracy at Barefoot Britain. I would happily use them both. http://www.barefootbeginner.com/2012/10/01/3-uk-dealers-stocking-xero-shoes/
I've gotten two pairs of shoes from Barefoot Britain, one for me and one for my son - they were inexpensive and arrived in two days. Really good customer service, too, so I have only had good experiences w/ them.
